Fragile Planet's FREE mobile school programs consist of one, 45-minute oral presentation on our LIVE animal ambassadors. Our program offers students the opporunity to get up close and personal with animals they may have never seen before! Students participate by asking questions, responding to the presenters, and selected students will even get a chance to get involved in the demonstration making our programs both educational and entertaining.
Our presenters tailor the presentation to the age of their audience and regularly present to students ages 5 yrs and up!

Jason Crean, MS Bio, EdD
Jason Crean, MS Bio, EdD is a degreed biologist, consultant, and educator. Crean acts as consultant to zoos and other institutions, including Fragile Planet Wildlife Center, the Wildlife Genetics lab at Loyola Medical Center, Chicago Zoological Society, and Chicago Nature Museum, specializing in biologically appropriate animal nutrition and dietary enrichment. Dr. Crean is also a biology instructor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Saint Xavier University where he has instituted coursework like “Zoo Biology: Animal Nutrition, Behavior & Diagnostics.” Dr. Crean has been awarded the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science Teaching, the highest award a educator can receive in the US, by President Obama in 2009, the 2010 High School Science Teacher of the Year by the American Association for the Advancement of Science, as well as awards from the National Science Teachers Association, the National Association of Biology Teachers, the Illinois Science Teachers Association, among others. Most recently he was awarded the 2016 Golden Apple award for excellence in teaching. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Association of Presidential Awardees in Science Teaching and the College Board's National Science Advisory Panel as well as chairing the Science Development Committee.
